Samsung Serves as a Reminder that Pre-Launch Testing is Essential

A recall for any company can be extremely costly and damaging to the reputation, but when that company is on the verge of overstepping one of the greatest international powerhouse corporations, a recall is downright devastating.  So, we must say again, there is a very good reason to have an established, climate controlled space, and to set aside a reasonable amount of time for the proper testing of any product to be released to the market.

For those who don’t know, the Smartphone manufacturer, Samsung is facing massive backlash, after it was discovered that the Galaxy Note 7 had an internal flaw that could cause it to overheat and even catch fire.  Of course, the company quickly issued a recall, and a team determined that they knew what the problem was, fixed it quickly and got the phones back on the shelves right away.  Unfortunately, once again, they failed to do proper testing to ensure that the fix was, in fact, going to be the needed solution.  Shortly thereafter, claims of more overheating phones started rolling in, and the company was forced to admit that they had misinterpreted the problem.  Now, massive investigations are being done to determine exactly what is causing the internal issues, and the company is suffering with investors, and the general market.

With the right testing facility, and the proper timeline in place, the company could have prevented all of these problems, including the first recall.  Climate controlled spaces can allow companies like this to mimic nearly any conditions that a phone (or other product) may be subjected to, to determine how well it will hold up, and to correct any potentially damaging issues before the product reaches the hands of the consumer. You can find what you need with SRP Controls, so you can create the highly controlled spaces needed for this sort of testing.
