HVAC Trends in America and Beyond, 2017

There are a number of trends taking form in the HVAC market right now.  Some of those are immediately evident in this country, some of them have to be more carefully sought out, and others are more prominent elsewhere around the globe.  Nevertheless, all will have an impact on the HVAC industry as a whole, which means that they are worth considering.

Building Automation This is definitely something that we are seeing close to home.  More and more people are seeking for automated HVAC solutions.  And, this isn’t limited to the commercial and industrial markets any longer.  Smart thermostats are being installed in private residents in increasing numbers.  These are able to learn the behaviors of the residents in order to adjust the workload placed on the HVAC equipment automatically.  Furthermore, these and other HVAC components can now be linked with tablets and other smart devices, so the home can be monitored and controlled remotely.  Some of these devices even make it possible to speak commands to the HVAC systems.

Renewable Energy You probably won’t have to look too hard or too far to find evidence of this trend.  More and more solar panels are popping up on the rooftops in this nation, particularly in the warmer regions.  Windmills are springing up on the hilltops, and there are near constant articles on the efforts of scientists and researchers seeking new renewable sources of energy.

Solar Powered Water Pumps This isn’t necessarily a big trend in America, but you can certainly read a lot about it, if you do a simple news search.  Developing nations are desperate for clean water sources.  These water pumps, which are relatively simple in design and are powered exclusively by Mother Nature, can be installed in even the most remote regions of the world, which means a better, healthier life for millions.
