Pressure is a measure of force in a given area. There are a number of ways to calculate this concept because of the variety of materials that may be used, the conditions involved, and way that force is applied. For that reason, SRP Control has developed a wide array sensors that can be used to measure pressure. These are just a few of the products that we have available.
- High Temperature Resistance – Pressure and temperature are very often connected, so it’s important to have a sensor that can stand up to it. Our silicon-on-sapphire sensors contain sapphire crystals that are cut into wafers. As long as the chemicals involved are inert, these types of sensors will work well in high temperatures.
- High Pressure Resistance – It stands to reason that a pressure sensor should be able to handle pressure, but sometimes you need to measure spaces with extremely high pressure. Our Bonded Foil Pressure Sensors have four foil gauges that are bonded onto a stainless steel body, which will flex and strain under pressure. This creates strong resistance in high-pressure environments, so it’s very adaptable.
- Tight Seals – In some situations, there can be absolutely no disruption to the environment during the measuring process. Our Thick-Film Sensors, for instance, create an extremely tight seal because its resistance structures are printed directly onto a ceramic body before being joined with the rest of the casing.
In order to choose the pressure sensor that’s right for your industry, you must first know the conditions that it must operate in. Contact representatives at SRP Control today.
